Dropped my Galaxy s4 in water. Phone was "protected" in an OtterBox case. After drying it off, I removed the case and found just a few drops of water inside which I cleaned up. The battery was dry and the sensor which changes to pink when wet was not pink. My problem is that it will not charge when plugged into the charger. The battery is completely dead so when I plug it in it does turn on. However, the charging icon does not show that it is, in fact, charging. BTW, I did put the phone and the battery in rice overnight.

Welcome to Android Central! See this guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...e-got-wet.html. The rice trick is no guarantee that all of the moisture was absorbed before it caused damage.

Once you've gone through the steps outlined in that guide, try a new battery.
