Why are my albums being duplicated?

I downloaded Star Tag Music Editor which was working well, edited some titles and album covers that were either wrong or missing. I then noticed my default music player apps started duplicating some albums, when checked on their location, one would be emulated/legacy/ and the other would be emulated/0. Also, albums that previously did not have album names all moved to one album called "Music". There are 3 more albums called music, but each only contains one song. Some albums are split, with the entirety of an album minus 1 in one album and the last song in the other, and some albums just contain 2 of each song. What's happening?
