WiFi issues with tv

So my daughter has a vizio smart TV and when we had u-verse it worked fine now that we switched to Xfinity it doesn't want to connect?
My nexus 6 connects upstairs fine. I have tried everything from factory reset on TV to reset on router . I have coworkers that have had vizio tvs with WiFi connection issues. Going to take it into Bestbuy third problem third different issue!!!

Thinking of getting either a roku or smart blu Ray player?

I find smart TVs to be less than optimal, for the most part. They're usually fairly slow, and using the remote as an interface can be very clunky. Roku, Nexus Player, or Chromecast would be my preference.

Ya I agree totally!!!! Bought it at best buy last Xmas for my daughter. Open package 27inch. . doubt I will get WiFi blu Ray player probably get nexus player totally forgot about that lol. Have to read reviews on it. I use Chromecast (1st generation) love it even more since I switched to Xfinity..

If you're lucky, you might still find a Nexus Player on clearance at Target. They were going for $25, which is insanely cheap. I missed out at the Targets in my area.:'(
