Replacing Samsung 2100 maH battery with a 2600 maH.

In a Samsung SIII I9300 Duo phone with 2100 maH battery, will a 2600 maH battery fit ?
I mean is the battery compartment adequate for 2600 ?

Welcome to Android Central! It depends on how they made the battery. Manufacturers can pack the battery cells more densely to achieve a higher mAh, while keeping the battery the same size. Is the battery designed for that specific phone?
