The old flip phones could always be heard. Volume at max and using what says a loud ringtone. Still can barely hear it ring. So frustrated that I can have it in my pants pocket and can't hear it ring.

Take the file you want as a ringtone and use an editor on it to increase the volume of the source file.

I'm sorry, not savvy with this. How do I take the file, what editor do I use, and how do I get it back to the phone? Do I do all this on the phone? Would appreciate some step by step instructions if you are up to it. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

I would try using either https://forums.androidcentral.com/e?...token=j4XzzY0I or https://forums.androidcentral.com/e?...token=y0_ikGnk. They are both available in Google Play and have links in their descriptions with instructions/tutorials.
