Nexus 6p transferring files from PC

A

AC Question

I just purchased the Nexus 6p and as I always do when I get a new phone, I back up my old phone stuff to my pc, mainly my Whatsapp Chat backups and pictures, and then connect the new phone and drag it in , and Voila, all goes smoothly.

The Nexus 6p just does not connect to the PC, I enabled developer mode, then scrolled down and hit the MTP option, even on the notification bar I changed it from charging to Files Transfer (MTP) but nope. If I hit photo transfer, then it'll register and I can see my photos, and drag some new ones in. But I cant drag in my Whatsapp backup databases, because it's only a photo transfer. I downloaded and upgraded drivers. Even got that huawai driver thing the forums have asked me to download, to get the driver, restarted pc, but no use. I am using windows 10

Is there any way I can resolve this

Welcome to Android Central! To make sure we're on the same page:

1. Connect the phone via USB.
2. Swipe down the notification panel.
3. Tap the USB notification icon, and make sure MTP is selected.
4. On the computer, open Windows Explorer. Does Nexus 6P show up?
