Samsung s5 freezes on boot up. I can still get into recovery boot. Is it possible to recover my data

Samsung had been acting up recently freezing occasionally, getting worse. Now it won't boot up, last night it just continually restarted, now, when it does boot up, it freezes in the middle of start up. I can still sometimes enter recovery mode. Is it possible to recover any of my data (pictures, contacts, texts, files, etc.) before I either take it in, or try to re-install?

Welcome to Android Central! Try wiping the cache partition, which doesn't erase any personal data: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404. If that doesn't work, though, you'll have a hard time retaining your data. You could try re-flashing the stock firmware, but I think that wipes your data as well: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html
