AC Question

Hey guys and girls. Having some difficulty with the Galaxy S2 Tablet. Numerous times I've seen a porn app (or something that looks like it) appear on the homescreen inbetween my normal apps. Other times random ad pop ups..pop up. (not just when im on the internet but also just on the homescreen),
Also; a program called Ali Express (aliexpress) tries to download stuff. Looked up the name online but couldn't really find a good solution to deal with that.

I tried airpush apps to locate the source of all the above, as well as checking every folder for suspicious activity but no luck. If anyone can help i'd appreciate it.

Welcome to Android Central! That sounds ominous. Does it persist in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-23632 If so, then the malware might have gotten installed into the root, which can be very difficult to get rid of.

If it goes away in Safe Mode, then the best thing to do is a factory reset. After the reset, go immediately to the Google Play Store and stop any apps from automatically installing. Make sure the problem doesn't persist while the device is still in a pristine state, then start reinstalling apps one by one. Be careful with games (especially knockoffs of really popular ones), gambling apps, porn, "RAM boosters," and security apps besides ones from well-established companies.
