Cannot connect Nexus 6 to pc

With the usb cable connected from Nexus 6 (android 6.0) to windows 10 pc, no phone appears in my PC file explorer.

I need to delete some audio files on the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! When you connect, swipe down the notification panel--do you see a USB icon? If so, tap it and make sure MTP is selected. If you don't see the icon, then try a different cable.
