My galaxy s6 edge won't charge

I plug my charger in and I get the bolt and does not go past this point but when I switch my phone on it immediately turns off as there is 0% battery, can anyone help or has anyone encountered this and fixed it?

The charger, USB lead, connector inside the USB port, battery, or something else, may be faulty.

Try charging other phone with your charger. Even if the other phone shows it's charging wait for a while and observe: is it charging normally? (If the charging icon shows but it doesn't seem to increase battery percentage for a while then maybe it's your charger).

However if you have made sure your charger works fine, another thing you can do is use another WORKING charger--see if your phone charges. If it still doesn't then maybe either the charging port or your battery is the issue.
