Why doesn't my Samsung connect to my car via USB?

AC Question

So I used to listen to spotify on my iPhone via USB in my corsa, the music comes on the screen, I can also use the sat nav on my phone to come out the speakers which is amazing as well as connecting to bluetooth to make calls etc...I recently changed to the Samsung edge and can no longer listen to spotify via USB :( Bluetooth/calls still works just says error every time I try to connect via USB...the really unusual thing is the phone still charges via the USB lead..strange?? Any help would be greatly appreciated especially as I am not getting the benefit of the free spotify with my phone package

Welcome to Android Central! USB connectivity for Android phones in a car is usually very imited, and doesn't include what you're looking for. It's better to connect via Bluetooth. If your car doesn't have Bluetooth, there are plenty of Bluetooth audio receivers that can plug into the car's Aux port.
