why is my music still playing in the background on my Samsung Galaxy S6

When ever I listen to music, no matter what app I use, (Google play, spotify,Pandora etc.) And I disconnect my headphones, play a video (on any app), or if I get any type of notification, my phone usually would automatically pause the music. Not anymore. My music will just continue playing music or the video in the background. It happens whether or not I have my headphones
