How do you turn off LTE forever?

The only way to turn off LTE and get the normal 4G on Samsung Galaxy S5 is to go to the "Testing" area and choosing "GSM auto" but whenever the S5 is restarted, it goes back to LTE and I have to do these steps all over again every time I restart. Is there any way to turn off LTE forever?

have you tried going into settings>connections>more networks>mobile Networks>Mobile Data> and checking off Enhanced 4G LTE services ?

There's no option to do that on my device... maybe it's because it's GSM from Cricket?
