Is a 32gb sd card capadable with a Samsung Galaxy S4?

I have had my galaxy 4 for almost 2 years. I have always used sandisk 8gb sd cards and they always get full and I have to buy another. I have deleted Apps to have storage but my phone is still full from all of the pictures I have. So I bought a 32gb sd card thinking that I shouldn't have to worry about storage for a while. I input the sd card and my phone is still showing storage space running out. I know how to move the files to the sd card but when I go to transfer the pics and videos the sd card is not showing in the list of files I can transfer items to.

Does the external SD card show up under Settings > Storage? Can other devices read it correctly?

I bought one for mine and it works fine. Had a 16G and ate through it after i had my kid lol.
