Droid Turbo Screen Security Setting Keep resetting to None

[AC Question]

I have a Droid Turbo running Android 5.1. Recently the Screen Security settings started resetting back to None. Whether I try PIN or Pattern after a few hours it reverts back to None. I have cleared the cache partition, performed a factory reset and rebuilt phone as new. Yet the problem persists.

I am running both Webroot SecureAnywhere premier and MalwareBytes and they have found no issues. Motorola support is stumped so any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried going to Settings>Security>Clear Credentials? This is usually the thing to do for the opposite problem (i.e., you can't select None for screen lock), but maybe it'll work for this situation as well.
