Bluetooth Auto Connect

When starting up my car, the phone only connects to the Bluetooth car stereo in 1 out of 10 times.

I always have to go into settings and connect media audio to my car stereo.

I've Bluetooth Auto Connect, an app found on the play store, but it's not getting any better, really.

Any other apps that might be better?

Do you leave your phone's bluetooth on constantly or only when in your car. If you do leave it on try changing bluetooth visibility time

The bluetooth receiver is on all the time, as I have a bluetooth headset on my ears at all times, so when I enter my car, I want the music to play out on the car stereo, while still answering calls on my headset.

What I'm after is really a good bluetooth daemon that would connect and disconnect profiles based on what devices was present and also a way to debug it or to see a log of what the system has discovered.

A use case is when I enter my car, the car stereo is visible; therefor the "media audio" profile should be disconnected from the bluetooth headset and connected to the car stereo. The "call audio" profile should still be connected to the bluetooth headset.
