Recently, my phone has just been acting very strange. I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 and I love it but recently it's doing things that my old phone did before it finally kicked the bucket.

My phone just went from 93% to 100% in like 30 seconds on the charger. I've never seen that happen before. And lately it has been taking FOREVER to charge. Like close to 4 hours. It also will drain really quickly. Like 40 percent in a few minutes. I've tried stopping my wifi and data, leaving my phone alone, anything and it still acts like this.

Thankfully this is all random. It's not like every single day and minute. Some days it'll act fine but others it just acts up. Is it my battery?

Hi and welcome to Android Central.

Sounds like either the battery is failing or a rouge app. It could just be an app running constantly and draining the battery quickly while also making it slow to charge.

Have you checked the battery chart?
