Why doesn't the edited version of a contact save on the contact itself?

I can go in and edit contact information, and hit "save" but when I go back to the contact, all the old information is also still there. ie: it will display the old and new emails, phone numbers, etc. When I go back to the edit screen, it shows exactly how I want it, without the old information.

After editing and saving, try a Power Off and Restart of the device.
