Battery Issues On Note 4: Quick Drain, Slow Charge and Malware

The battery life on my Note 4 was dying completely at 60% and now peaks at 38%. I think the battery is spent. I also think I have battery-related malware. Help! New battery ordered, but I can't stay tethered to an outlet or external battery. Any recommendations for malware removal that won't require a factory reset?
