I'd like to use my old Droid X2 (Verizon) just for wifi access, playing games, music, etc.

AC Question

I upgraded my smartphone some time back, but recently failed to remember my screen unlock pattern, and ended up locking it out. It presented me with a recovery option wherein I needed to enter my gmail username and password. The system refused to accept my entries, probably because the unit had only an old wifi access password. Since I had ported my information previously, I completed a "factory data reset" on the unit.

Now when I turn it on, it opens to the screen unlock screen. When I select screen unlock, it still says that too many unlock attempts have been made and prompts me to enter my gmail username and password to proceed, and again it responds that the username or password is incorrect.

I had prompted the reset to remove all personal data during the reset, so I don't understand why it still prompts for my gmail info. Also, I assume that the reset would remove wifi access password.

I'd appreciate any help on how to proceed.
