Samsung Core 2 stuck

[AC Question]

So I got an update notification on my Galaxy core 2 a while back. Now it's stuck in a continuous reboot cycle. It says "installing system update", goes to about 97%, says "error", reboots once (showing only the logo screen), then reboots again starting the process over. It won't go into recovery mode, pulling the battery out and back in does nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can you power off by long-pressing Power? If so, boot into Recovery from there and try a Cache Partition wipe.
