How can I recover my pictures that were somehow deleted from my phone.

I have a samsung galaxy core2, A few days ago i discovered that all my pictures that had been saved on my SD card and on the phone memory were gone. I never deleted them and my phone is password protected so no one else could have deleted them. Am not certain if the problem is the OS or the SD card or some random bug. I have tried several solutions i got online and non seem to work, please help. being able to recover the pictures will be great.

What do you see inside DCIM/Camera directory of internal storage and SD card?

I see pictures that I took days later and pictures I recieved from WhatsApp

I'm sorry I can't help with this other than what others have recommended (plugging it into the computer and seeing if the DCIM folder is still there). But to avoid this in the future you could try using Google photos to back them up online, or use bittorrent sync to sync or backup all the pictures to your PC or server without using online storage (my personal favorite)
