Fixes? Moto G (gen 3) - Lollipop - T-Mobile Sim: No no voice (mic) or audio on phone calls only.

Brand new out of the box Moto G (gen 3) running Lollipop with a T-Mobile Sim card. Audio and voice (mic?) on phone calls is not working. Skype and Hangouts audio and voice work fine. Phone call only problem. Calls would go through, just no communication could happen. Sim card was working in another phone. All other features were working. Tried all of the basic suggested fixes, rebooting, factory reset, developer mode, no apps, etc. Does anyone know how to fix this issue or at least know if this is a known problem that should steer me away from the Moto G?
