Random color dots on screen- Note 4

[AC Question]

Hi all

I have promblem with my Note 4. On the nottification bar and on all pictures i have random white dots. On nottification bar is in eg. 5-10 dots.
Nothing new was installed. Not rooted.

Any idea what is wrong?

Oh....worse than I'd thought. Possibly a software error, since the shortcuts are unaffected. I'll pass this on to some friends who might know.

I appreciate your help. Anyway, I'm preparing for sending to service. I will make hard reset as a last chance.
More info: after typing code *#0*# and choosing one color there are no dots.

The hard reset is a good idea. If sent for repair, you'd have to do one anyway.

I agree a reset might help. Like belodion said, if you start talking with Samsung, they will probably have you do a reset anyway.

So the dots are gone now?

Unfortunately no. I've just checked how it looks like in test mode. It that state there are no dots. As you see below it is still with dots.It is more visible on the pictures.

Unfortunately factory reset didn't help. I give up.

I said above that the shortcuts area in your first screenshot was unaffected by the dots. Under more favourable viewing conditions I now see that I was wrong, for which I apologise. That suggests a faulty display rather than software.
