How to move apps to my SD card (Galaxy Grand Prime)

I have a 8GB phone, and i bought a 32 GB SD card. I would like to move my apps to there, but i cant. i got the app 'Link2SD' but when i got to move move the apps it says : 'Link2SD could not obtain root access'. Im assuming this means i have to root my phone. Problem is i just got it, and its my first samsung. ive jailbroken 3 apple devices, but never a samsung. So i guess really im asking for a guide to help me root, and tell me what apps/what to do after rooting my device AND move my apps to my SD card. Sorry if my explanation is confusing, ive never posted something like this
