why has my samsung four stopped receiiving my emails after 12/31/15

After December 31, 2015, my phone has not received any emails through my gmail account. Whjat can I do to get my daily emails again?

It's a delayed Y2K bug, hahaha. Anyway there's no good reason that they would just stop on a date like that. I'm not doubting you I'm just saying I think the date is coincidental. You didn't change your password or have to reset it for some reason? This would require you to update the password on your device as well. You say gmail but is that the app you're using? Do you have any other accounts on that app or the app you're using? For example I use Maildroid and in that one app I have 5 synced mail accounts. Do any other accounts deliver mail besides gmail? If it's a one account app might I suggest a new app, if you don't receive mail from any account it sounds like a setting in the app, perhaps from an update or a bad power down. What have you checked what have you tried? Post back and let's see if we can figure this out.
