I have a Macbook (2009) with Mavericks and an Oppo R7 phone. Recently I spent 3 hours transferring a folder (500MB) from my laptop to my phone using Android File Transfer and a USB cable. Eventually it got transferred successfully but along the way there were numerous error messages, stoppages etc. At times only some files would be transferred. I have used AFT to transfer files to my Samsung tablet without this degree of trouble (though there were always some hiccups).
The question is: Is there a an alternative app to AFT for Mac/android transfer using a USB cable - wifi is too slow for large files or folders. If there is an alternative it would be good for it to have the capability for opening/editing android files on the laptop screen.
Looking at the net the alternative transfer apps are all wifi or bluetooth based.
