Problems with a rooted phone

[AC Question]

I bought a second hand Samsung S4 mini and have had numerous problems which i now understand is due to the phone being 'rooted'. I am not very tech savvy i should point out so after lots of google searches im still frustrated and unable to update my device to the latest software. I understand that the reason for my apps crashing such as uber is because of this. Please can someone tell me how i can either install the latest software somehow or un root my phone?

Personally I would just return it to whomever you bought it from. Since you are not a tech savy person, un rooting it is probably not something you want to try yourself.
