I am planning a trip to France and am thinking of purchasing a Samsung Galaxy J5 SM-J500 GSM Factory Unlocked Smartphone, International. I expect to be traveling a lot and want a phone I can easily use in the U.S. and overseas. This phone seems to be perfect for me in Europe, but I have read that LTE bands can be an issue for international phone in the states. How can I tell if this phone will work for in the U.S.?

Welcome to Android Central! It may depend on which exact J5 model you have. Is there a letter after the J500? See the specs here: Samsung Galaxy J5 - Full phone specifications

It also depends on which US carrier you're using. TMobile and AT&T use different bands.
