How to get read receipts on Samsung galaxy s6

Please answer in step by step ways how to set it up. I use the yellow messenger app with a white envelope that came on my phone. And I recently had an iPhone and that's the one feature I miss.

Hi, below are the steps:

1) open the messaging app
2) Click 'more' in the upper right hand side
3) select 'settings'
4) select 'more settings'
5) select 'text messages'
6) select 'delivery reports'

You can not get "read" reports using stock sms apps. If both people use a third party messaging app, then it's possible.

People don't understand that I iMessages is not a sms service. It's just like using a third party messaging app on Android. iMessages runs through its own servers handling data much differently than what service providers sms's does.

I was too quick to read the question and thought it said delivery reports. Whatsapp is a decent enough app that shows you read receipts.
