    Hi there.

I recently (couple weeks or so) purchased a Note 5, and I've barely touched it since then. I did, however, set up a fingerprint lock on my device. Those few times I did turn on my phone for whatever reason the fingerprint lock worked just fine. Now, however, it simply doesn't recognize it despite repeated efforts. Worse yet, I have no idea what my backup password is.

I've tried using the ADM, Android Device Manager.

"Your current lock screen will be replaced with a password lock. Don't use your Google account password."

That sounds good and all, and I type in my new password and proceed, but I receive the following message.

"Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered won't be needed."

The problem is that there is no new screen lock. It's the same, as it still requires me to unlock via my fingerprint. Is there any way to get past this and get ADM to my lock screen with a new password? The last thing I want to do is reset my device.

    Thanks.
