I have an old Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet, sporting Omnirom and I decided to upgrade, but I am having a hard time picking the right tablet and I am looking for suggestions. I have a budget of no more than 500€ and I would like to get something that matches the following criteria:

- MicroSD support.
- Top notch hardware (CPU/RAM)
- Around 9-10" (8" is too small)
- Possibly a custom OS factory installed (best would be Cyanogen, Omni or something like that).

So far, the best choice I could find was:

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE (SM-T815)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 - Full tablet specifications

It seems to me that in the 500€ range it's the best money could buy, hardware wise. Problem is, it sports the official Samsung version of Android which I HATE, so I will basically have to void the warranty to root it and install a custom OS.

Is there anything else around with similar specs? Does someone produce a decent tablet with a CUSTOM OS?

Thanks for (any) input.

Note: Pixel C does not support MicroSD to my knowledge.
