How do you run firmware updates on a SM-G900V unlocked phone used for another carrier?

I bought a refurbished Samsung G5 unlocked phone SM-G900V but I use Consumer Cellular for my carrier . I didn't know this was a Verizon phone until I received it. I was able to get everything to work by working with Consumer Cellular and setting up a new APN and I figured out how to set up voice mail to Consumer Cellulars number. My concern is how to get updates on this phone since it is a Verizon phone and I am not a Verizon customer so I don't want Verizon software updates but I do want the hardware updates. software version is G900VVRU2BOE1 Config Version is J13.SAM.SMG900V.1

There are no hardware updates on the phone. Only software updates. If you you want the software update then you can buy a Verizon sim, or take it to Samsung inside best buy to update.
