2016: should i get an s5 or a note 3

Hi all,
Right now I need a temporary phone until September (I plan to get the note 6) when my contract ends. I'm trying to decide between the galaxy s5 and the note 3. I know the s5 is newer but I like the size of the note 3. Since they are around the same price, which is better and why? Thanks in advance.

If you like the size of a note 3, i recommend you to search some mid-high budget phones. Or just simply buy a nexus 6p.

Keep in mind that the S5 will be upgraded to marshmallow which will be a lot better than the note 3's lollipop.

The 6p costs like 699 in Canada so if I plan to get a new phone when my contract runs out I don't want to drop that much $ right now. Note 3 and s5 are about 250(used)
