Facebook messenger has stopped

I am using Panasonic Eluga s .When I try to go on facebook messenger I get a message come up saying that it has stopped working. How do I get it to work again? I cleared the cashe for messenger but still does the same. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! In Settings>Apps, select both Facebook and FB Messenger, and Clear Cache/Clear Data from both of them. Force Close both of them, then try them again. Also make sure both apps are fully up to date.

There have been many posts recently about problems with FB Messenger, so it might be a glitch on their end.

yes Messenger is taking a java.lang.NoSuchElement exception... then death...
