Samsung Galaxy S5 so that pictures I take on the camera are saved to the SD card and not the phone.

AC Question

I recently installed a 64 GB micro SD card on my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S5). The camera has been saving pictures to the drive on the phone. I would like to change that so that pictures (and downloads, etc.) are stored on the SD card to free up space on the telephone. Any recommendation on how to do that?

Welcome to Android Central! First, are you sure the phone is detecting the card? Go to Settings>Storage, and make sure the SD card shows up there.

If it is, then open Camera, tap the Settings icon, and look for the setting to change the default save location. Choose SD Card there.
