How to root LG volt

Im trying root my phone basically i did the old youtube method and another, but im guess it was patched since my LG volt CANT or Wont be rooted when i connected it to my computer. Im new here so im positive this is in the wrong place, But any help from rooted LGs?

Rooting depends more on the version of Android than the device (you root the ROM, not the phone itself). Without knowing which version of Android you're running, there's not much help we can give you.

You may want to read through [Q] Root for VM LG Volt - Pg. 3 | Android Development and Hacking If you're running LS740ZV4 (which probably has a kernel date later than June 2, 2014) or any later version, there probably is no root exploit for it. You may want to flash back to ZV3, root (using Towel Root) and freeze or uninstall the update app. (That's what I did on my Samsung Note 3.)
