Trouble with Facebook app.

I have a Samsung Galaxy4 tablet. I previously had a Facebook icon on desktop, app drawer & in settings. Now today I was on facebook then came back on again & now nothing anywhere.Downloaded the app again & still nothing. Did a shutdown & restart x2. Nothing. Unable to uninstall Facebook in the app where it says installed. No options for uninstalling in app & even dosen't have button to open. Help! Thank you! Linda

Hello Linda, welcome to the forums! Facebook and Messenger are giving a hard time to many users. If you have FB Messenger in your phone uninstall or disable it, reboot your phone and then try the same with the Facebook app (from settings - apps or Play Store). If nothing works you'll need to access FB from a browser. Tell us how it goes.
