I can not activate Google now on tap on my new nexus 6p.

I recently got a new nexus 6p from Rogers around a week ago. When I hold the home button, the screen where it offers to start Google now on tap pops up, but when I tap the get started button, nothing happens, whatsoever. It's the same when I search up the Google now launcher all, it says its installed but when I tap "open" nothing happens. I need help because I feel like I'm missing out on a huge part of this phone.

Clearing the cache or doing a factory data reset may fix this. If not, you may want to contact Google.
