At any time phone will cut off when power indicator shows plenty of juice left. When I try to cut it back on it shows 0% on battery but that's not what it showed when phone went down. Once I plug in charger it suddenly shows well over 60% and usually 70% plus life left. After a few minutes I can turn it back on.

I cleared cache and thought I had fixed it but once again with somewhere north of 60% it blacks out again. I unplug the charger once it boots back up because it shows plenty of life left in battery. Nevertheless after using it for awhile it will black out again.

I use a slow wireless charger at night and may use the turbo charger during day if power runs near low before I am through with phone for the day.

Why does it black out showing zero battery life but immediately shows more than 60% to 70% after I plug it in? Once I plug it in I can reboot but eventually it will turn off again without power plug even though it shows plenty of life left?

    Welcome to Android Central!

It sounds like a battery issue. I don’t think the Droid Turbo has a replaceable battery. However, before you go that route, try a factory reset. If that doesn’t fix it then contact Verizon for a replacement or repair (hopefully they can assist).

Mine does the same thing. It has been doing it randomly for the last couple of weeks. Hopefully someone will post a solution.
