Cannot play any videos on note 3

This happened a few days ago, everytime I save a video (thru snapchat as mp4 file) and try to play it, the default video player pops up as usual but instead of playing the video, the screen is black with the words "can't play video". I've tried clearing the cache but still does not work. This has never happened before, I could play any mp4 files I saved in the past.

Welcome to Android Central! I have seen some reports that a recent Google+ update is responsible. Try uninstalling Google+ (or its updates), and then reinstall it.
