Why is my Samsung S6 not swiping open even though it lights up and the ph wakes up?

A icon that said quick remote came up on my ph after I restarted it. I thought it was an app my husband installed. Now my ph will not respond to any thing. If you press the home key the ph wakes up but you cannot swip it open. It also will not let me shut it down. I can hold the poer button down but when the shut off menu pops up I cannot press any action the ph will not respond. I assume it is a hack, what can I do now?
