Why is my SD card not working on my phone

[AC Question]

I have a sony xperia m2 and I recently got a 16gb sd card. However, when I want to transfer data from my phone on to my sd card, it will not let me and it says "NOTE: Transfer interrupted. Check your SD card for possibly transferred data." I have checked my sd multiple times and there is no transferred data what so ever. Please help becaue I have had to send my phone to virgin multiple times and nothing has changed.
