how do I sync contacts from LG 4G kit kat phone to zenwatch 2?

Nothing is showing up in my contacts on the watch even though they are paired and I get notifications and if I say contact names it "knows" the numbers but says I have no contacts listed

Welcome to Android Central! The contacts that sync to the watch are only the ones in your Frequently Contacted list. Open your Contacts app, tap Favorites, then look at the Frequently Contacted list--if it's empty, that's why there's nothing on the phone.
