How can I find the incoming and outgoing servers names for my Android tablet

My andoid tablet has a strong wi-fi signal and is connected to the Net. However, I cannot send or receive emails on my BT account. I wonder whether the incoming and outgoing servers both have my name and details correct. This might be the problem?
