New phone required

My N5 is on its last legs. Speaker no longer works, battery is shocking.

I love stock. But am willing to make a sacrifice for the right device. I don't have a huge budget having just become a dad for the 2nd time.

If the 6P were the same size as the 5X I wouldn't have hesitated.

I'm not expecting advice just some comments on your device and what works well for you

Congrats on becoming a dad again! -- What is important in a phone to you? This will help others to make better suggestions since everyone differs .

Got to have a good camera, doesn't have to be the best but better than N5.
Not a phablet (5.3" max screen)
Under £500 (or $500)
Preferably a decent, uncluttered UI if not stock.
Not the 5X (had a play with one and doesn't feel like enough of an upgrade)
Would like front facing stereo speakers but not essential

Smaller size would be limiting. What about an s6? The camera is excellent, though it obviously isn't stock Google.
