LG G3 no connection to PC via USB

Hi. When I try to connect my G3 to the LG PC Suite on my PC, I cannot connect via USB. If I try to connect via USB, my G3 recognises that it is plugged in to the PC and charges, but I do not get the automatic notification panel on the G3. In Device Manager on the PC it says LGE Android Phone with a yellow exclamation mark against it - if I try to update driver software automatically it says MTP USB Device, the system cannot find the file specified, visit your manufacturers website for driver software. The USB cable works as I have used it for other things. The USB port works as I have used it for other things. Uninstalling and re-installing in Device Manager makes no difference. Downloading drivers from LG makes no difference. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! When you plug the phone into the USB port, do you get a USB icon in the notification panel? Swipe down the panel and tap the USB icon, if present, and make sure it's set to MTP.

Well, i had the same problem, then i tried a different wire to connect my phone to computer and then the options finally appeared to the notification area
