Why is my SD card need to be reformated all the time.

I bought a 64GB SD card that was supported on my LG G3. I have the card inserted, I have put music on the card from my computer. Everytime the phone battery dies or the phone is updating or a task that turns off the phone completely, it makes my SD card corrupted and I have to reformat everytime,my phone will recognize my SD card after its back on but it will tell me to mount my card but everytime I press the mount button, there is no response from my phone. Its very frustrating to have to format 50GB of music on to my SD card everytime.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen no matter what SD card you use, or only on this one card?
