AT&T phone Group messaging issue

[AC Question]

ive gone thru 2 different phones and the problem still occurs. I had a previous Galaxy s5 and i am now using galaxy note 5.

my issue is that whenever me or anyone in my contacts starts a group text with me, i dont receive any messages coming from them. They could see the messages that i send to them but most of the time i dont get any from the other people in the group. What i find a bit frustrating is that one of my other friend has the same carrier as me which is AT&T, but he receives all the messages just fine.. and sometimes he has to screenshot his phone just to show me what the conversation was about.

example: if me, him and 4 of my other friends starts a group message he can see everyone's messages on his phone perfectly fine, but when it comes to my phone i only see his and no one else. so practically everyone inside the group message can see everyone's each others messages with no problem except for me.

ive tried using other sms/mms replacement apps, changing my access point, reset, etc. even when the phone is brand new out of the box. nothing different happens.. i just dont get everyones messages.

please help

Try opening your messaging app > more > settings > more settings > Multimedia messaging and make sure group conversation box is checked.
