Verizon to T Mobile Samsung S6 LTE- doesnt recognize phone dialer prompts

I have swapped the phone from Verizon to T Mobile networks, it works relatively well. However when I call a number that has a phone tree and requires me to push a button to get to the correct department, the phone acts as if I haven't submitted a prompt.

are there any fixes for this?
